Quartetto Gelato Album Art
It’s been 20 years since my first collaboration with Quartetto Gelato. The first shoot was on the back patio of Grano’s Restaurant on Yonge Street. Roberto Martella was kind enough to lend us his personal Vespa for the shoot. Fun times and we all still miss Cynthia Steljes very much.

Publicity shot with cellist Kristina Cooper.
These images are from the Kornel Wolak and Carina Robertson days.
When QG calls it always runs the gamut from crazy ideas to no ideas. The creative for the 100% Canadian record was no different. They are always ready to try new things and I use the opportunity to experiment with various techniques.
This first one is a multiple exposure images mixing strobe light with continuous tungsten light creating a ghosting effect.
This image is a straight ahead composite using old footage from the ballroom atop the Royal York Hotel. It was my original choice for location for this shoot but was not available for booking. This was the next best option.
These images were taken using my new FUJI x100T. Shot handheld with available light the image ended up being used as the album cover for 100% Canadian, All Original.
